Geovanni Mauricio Paz Hurtado
Geovanni Mauricio Paz Hurtado (born November 30, 1962 in Cotacachi , Imbabura Province , Ecuador ) is an Ecuadorian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop in Latacunga .
Life
Geovanni Mauricio Paz Hurtado received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Ibarra on June 29, 1988 through Bishop Luis Oswaldo Pérez Calderón .
On November 30, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Latacunga . The Apostolic Nuncio in Ecuador, Archbishop Giacomo Guido Ottonello , donated him episcopal ordination on January 20 of the following year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Quito , Fausto Gabriel Trávez Trávez OFM , and the Bishop of Ibarra, Valter Dario Maggi .
