Gerard Joseph Hanna
Gerard Joseph Hanna (born December 22, 1941 in Armidale ) is an Australian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Wagga Wagga .
Life
The Bishop of Armidale , Henry Joseph Kennedy , ordained him a priest on June 28, 1969 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Wagga Wagga on February 5, 2002 . The Archbishop of Canberra and Goulburn , Francis Patrick Carroll , donated him episcopal ordination on May 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were George Pell , Archbishop of Sydney , and Luc Julian Matthys , Bishop of Armidale.
Pope Francis accepted his resignation on September 12, 2016.
