Mark Edwards
Mark Stuart Edwards OMI (born June 14, 1959 in Balikpapan , Indonesia ) is an Australian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Wagga Wagga .
Life
Mark Edwards came to Australia when he was three years old. He entered the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate in, put on 17 February 1984 his profession from and received on 16 August 1986, the sacrament of the priesthood in Melbourne.
On 7 November 2014 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Garba and Auxiliary Bishop of Melbourne . The episcopal ordination donated him and Terence Curtin, who was appointed with him auxiliary bishop, by the Archbishop of Melbourne, Denis Hart , on December 17th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the former Apostolic Nuncio to Australia, Archbishop Curia Paul Gallagher , and the Archbishop of Brisbane , Mark Coleridge .
On May 26, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Wagga Wagga. The inauguration took place on July 22nd of the same year.
