Gerhard Hauschild

Gerhard Hauschild (born October 6, 1925 in Guttstadt , East Prussia ) is a former German trade unionist and economic functionary. He was chairman of the central board of the energy industrial union and the energy-post-transport industrial union in the FDGB .

Life

Hauschild, the son of a tailor , attended elementary school for eight years and high school for one year. In 1940 he first came to the Reich Labor Service . From 1940 to 1943 he completed an apprenticeship as an electrician in his birthplace . He then worked in this profession. In 1943 he became the Wehrmacht confiscated and made most recently as Corporal military service in the Paratroopers Regiment 26 . From May 1945 to January 1946 he was held in a British captivity in Schleswig-Holstein .

After his release, he worked from January to October 1946 as a company electrician in the Karl Brandt company in Neheim-Hüsten and was a member of the German Trade Union Federation (DGB). He went to the Soviet zone of occupation and worked from 1946 to 1950 as a company electrician in the municipal business enterprise Gaswerk Schwerin . Hauschild joined the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB) in 1947, the Free German Youth (FDJ) in 1949 and the SED in 1951 . From 1949 he was chairman of the works union management (BGL) of the gas works, from 1950 to 1951 chairman of the district executive committee of IG Energie in Schwerin and from 1951 to 1953 instructor and department head at the central executive committee of IG Energie in Berlin . After studying at the FDGB central school in Belzig , he became deputy chairman of the central board of IG Energie in 1953. From April 1955 he acted as chairman of the central board of IG Energie, from 1959 to 1963 as chairman of IG Energie-Post-Transport. From 1955 to 1963 Hauschild was also a member of the FDGB federal executive board and at times also a member of its presidium (1955-1959).

After studying at the party university at the Central Committee of the CPSU (1964/65) in Moscow , he was works director of VEB Energieversorgung Frankfurt (Oder) in 1965/66 , then from 1966 to 1970 director for perspective planning and first deputy to the general director of VVB Energieversorgung Berlin. From 1971 to 1976 he finally worked as its general manager.
