Gerhard IV. (* Around 1277 ; † around 1323 ) was Count of Holstein-Plön from 1312 .

Life

He was the first son of Gerhard II von Holstein-Plön and Ingeborg von Sweden . From 1312 he was Count of Holstein-Plön . On June 7, 1314 he sold almost his entire inheritance to his brother Johann III. .

Marriages and offspring

On July 30, 1313, he married Anastasia von Schwerin (* approx. 1291, † after 1316), a daughter of Nikolaus I von Schwerin-Wittenburg, and had the following children with her:

• Gerhard V. (* around 1315; † September 22, 1350) of Holstein-Plön , canon in Lübeck
• Ingeborg von Schaumburg-Holstein (* around 1316, † after 1349), married to Count Konrad I of Oldenburg , they became parents of Christian V. (Oldenburg)
