Gerhard von Thadden

Gerhard von Thadden (born January 4, 1829 in Trieglaff , Greifenberg district , † October 13, 1873 in Witzmitz , Regenwalde district ) was a Prussian manor owner and politician.

Gerhard von Thadden came from the old Pomeranian noble family of the von Thadden . He studied law in Berlin and then became a cavalry officer . In the German War of 1866 he was an officer in a squadron in the 1st Guard Dragoon Regiment. Since 1853 he was a landowner in Vahnerow in Pomerania . In 1870 and 1871 he was in command of the headquarters of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburg.

From 1867 to 1871 he was a member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Stettin 7 ( Greifenberg , Kammin ) and the Conservative Party . In this capacity he was a member of the Customs Parliament since 1868 .
