Gerrit Reichert

Gerrit Reichert (born March 1, 1965 in Duisburg ) is a German journalist .

Life

Reichert studied after graduating from high school in 1984 in Rheinberg and after military service until 1988 German , philosophy and political science in Münster . This was followed by a two-year traineeship at Radio Achalm in Reutlingen. He then studied German, journalism and political science again from 1991 to 1995 and graduated in Bamberg with a degree in German. During his main studies, Gerrit Reichert worked as a freelancer for the Reutlingen local studio of RTL Radio Baden Württemberg and Antenne Niederrhein in Kleve.

He then worked from May 1995, initially as head of duty, from April 1996 as editor-in-chief until 1997 at Radio KW in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the same position from 1997 to 1999 at 94.3 rs2 in Berlin and from 1999 to 2001 as program director at radio We from here in Bremen . From 2002 he worked as a freelance journalist in his adopted home of Bremen. From 2006 to 2007 he was also employed by the Heilbronn private broadcaster Radio Ton as program director.

As a freelance journalist, Reichert also works for agencies and companies in the northwest. He also works as a radio consultant for local broadcasters in North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin and is a lecturer for the Viennese “Association of Private Broadcasting Practice”.

In 2018 he was the main author of the publication and exhibition "Buchheim 100" at the Buchheim Museum in Bernried on Lake Starnberg. In autumn 2019, the Hamburg publisher Mittler published his book “U 96 Reality and Myth. The old and Lothar-Günther Buchheim ”, the second, revised edition was published at the end of March 2020.

Gerrit Reichert is married, has two children and lives in the artists' village Worpswede between Bremen and Hamburg.
