Gert Lothar Haberland

Gert Lothar Haberland (born June 15, 1928 in Uerdingen , † September 29, 2014 in Wuppertal ) was a German manager and pharmacologist . He was Director of Bayer AG and on the Board of Trustees of the Bayer Foundations and Professor at the Medical-Pharmacological Faculty of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn .

Life

He was a son of the future CEO of Bayer AG, Ulrich Haberland . Haberland was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz (mathematical and natural science class) as well as in its commission for medical research since 1972 . Gert Lothar Haberland died on September 29, 2014 in Wuppertal.

Honors

Gert L. Haberland has been an honorary doctor of the Medical Faculty of the Technical University of Munich since 1974 and has been the holder of the Wuppertal Ring of Honor since 2000 . Haberland was Honorary Chairman of the Presidium of the Technical Academy in Wuppertal . Since 1986 he has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st class.
