Gertitz is a district of the large district town of Delitzsch in the northern Saxony district of the Free State of Saxony . It was incorporated on July 1, 1950.

Geographical location

Gertitz is located on the southwestern edge of Delitzsch.

history

Gertitz belonged to the electoral office of Delitzsch until 1815 . The knight's seat mentioned in the village in 1445 was named as a manor in 1747 . Through the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the place came to Prussia in 1815 and was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony in 1816, to which it belonged until 1952.

On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into Delitzsch. In the course of the district reform in the GDR in 1952, the place with Delitzsch was assigned to the newly cut Delitzsch district in the Leipzig district, which was added to the Delitzsch district in 1994 and this in turn in the northern Saxony district in 2008.
