Gertrud Werth , née Geryga (born August 26, 1898 in Berlin ; † August 10, 1990 there ), was a German politician ( SPD ).

Gertrud Geryga was the daughter of a master tailor and first attended a middle school . From 1913 she was a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ). From 1913 to 1916 she trained as a legal assistant . She later attended a city evening high school and joined the SPD. From 1930 to 1933 she was a member of the works council at the Reichsanstalt für Arbeitsvermittlungs und unemployment insurance .

After the Second World War , Gertrud Werth became first chairwoman of the works council at the Kreuzberg district office in 1947 , and at the same time she was a member of the main works council of the city ​​council of Greater Berlin . In 1953 she became a member of the staff council at the labor court in Berlin and from 1957 its chairman. In the Berlin election in 1958 , Werth was elected to the district assembly in the Wedding district. In July 1961, Heinz Bergemann (1923–1967) left the Berlin House of Representatives , and Gertrud Werth was able to move up to parliament. In February 1963 she left the House of Representatives.
