The Society for Inner and Outer Mission in the sense of the Lutheran Church e. V. is a mission organization based in Neuendettelsau , which was founded in 1849 by Wilhelm Löhe . The company includes Freimund GmbH (publisher, printer and bookstore) and the Einkehrhaus Lutherrose . She is the editor of the conservative magazine CA - Confessio Augustana and organizer of popular missions. The society is a member of the Missionary Services Working Group (AMD). The company was also active in overseas emission (mainly in Papua New Guinea ) for over 100 years . Important missionaries were Christian Keyßer , Johann Flierl and Friedrich Bauer . Since 1972, overseas emissions have been taken over by the Missionswerk Bayern (MWB).

The company's management team includes a. Heinrich Herrmanns , former regional bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schaumburg-Lippe , and Dietrich Blaufuß, pastor and author of numerous theological works.

Freimund-Verlag has been publishing Christian books since 1930, predominantly with a conservative Lutheran character.
