The Gesvres is a river in France that runs in the Loire-Atlantique department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the municipality of Vigneux-de-Bretagne , first drains in a north-easterly direction, then turns to west and southwest and flows after 27 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Nantes and La Chapelle-sur-Erdre as a right tributary into the Erdre , which in this Section forms the canal Canal de Nantes à Brest .
