Get to You is a song that as the second of the title single from the by Bruce Fairbairn produced album debut album of American band Dan Reed Network was extracted.

The band had released the song Ritual in February 1988 , reaching number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 . The second single was Get to You in October 1988 . In the USA and Great Britain it was initially released on vinyl single , the US version contained the song in Spanish as the B-side. In Germany the song was released as a CD single.

There were various remixes available that were released on either maxisingle or CD single. In addition to the single version and the Spanish language version, the US maxi single contained the so-called “12” mix as well as a “ dub version” of the song. Both remixes were produced by Marlon McClain and Michael Mavrolas . Another mix included a length of 7:07 min. was made by Shep Pettibone , but was only available as part of a promo single.

For the 1993 compilation album Mixin It Up , Nuno Bettencourt made a new remix of Get to You .

The German magazine Musikexpress wrote in a review of the album, "the powerful marching Get To You" immediately staked out Reed's coordinate system: power and variety, pure pleasure in sound, coupled with musical wit and technical arrangement finesse. "

The single was commercially unsuccessful. In the most important markets (USA, Great Britain and Germany) it could not reach the hit lists, in the Netherlands it reached number 41 and stayed in the charts for seven weeks.
