Mixin 'It Up is a best of album by the American rock band Dan Reed Network . It is the last album by the group to be released internationally by the record company Mercury Records .
Emergence
While the musicians of the group recorded demos for the follow-up album to The Heat , the band's label wanted to close the time gap until the production of the fourth studio album by releasing a best-of album.
Seven of the sixteen tracks selected for the record were from the band's debut album. Special features were Stardate 1990 , a remix of Get to you created by Nuno Bettencourt , an acoustic version by Stronger Than Steel and the song Long way to go, which was also recorded with Bettencourt, on the CD. Stardate 1990 had never been part of an album by the band before, but was released as a single in June 1990 .

The remix of Get to You was released as a single from the album , but only in Australia . In addition to the title track, the maxi CD contained a live version of Forgot to Make her Mine made in Australia , the acoustic version of Stronger Than Steel , and the original version of Get to you .
- tour
The band went on a club tour to mixin 'it up to apply . The tour through Europe and Great Britain in the summer of 1993 was also her last. The band's last concert took place on August 8, 1993 at The Garage club in London. In October, the members of the Dan Reed Network began to concentrate on other projects and tasks, but they agreed to only interrupt their career together, but not to break up the band.
