Getmold is one of the ten districts of the East Westphalian town of Preußisch Oldendorf in the Minden-Lübbecke district .
history
Getmold was first mentioned in a document in 1229 in a document from the Bishop of Minden .
The community was incorporated into Preußisch Oldendorf on January 1, 1973 due to the Bielefeld Act . The district has about 830 inhabitants (2006), the port Getmold with a large marina on the Midland Canal and a 60 ha large industrial park .
