Junio made his debut in the World Cup in Heerenveen in November 2010 , taking 12th place in the B group over 1000 m and sixth and third place in the B group over 500 m. The following year he came in Chelyabinsk with ninth place over 500 m for the first time under the top ten in the A World Cup. In the 2012/13 season he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup in Nagano with second place over 500 m. In January 2013, he finished 14th in the sprint all- around at the Sprint World Championship in Salt Lake City . At the individual distance world championships in 2013 in Sochi , he achieved 19th place in the 2x500 m run. At the beginning of the following season, he won his first World Cup victory in Salt Lake City over 500 m. In the further course of the season he finished second and third place over 500 m and thus reached sixth place in the overall World Cup over 500 m. In his first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014, he was tenth in the 2x500 m run. In January 2015 he came in 19th place in the sprint all-around at the Sprint World Championships in Astana . In the same month he became Canadian 500 m champion. At the individual distance world championships in 2015 in Heerenveen, he achieved eighth place in the 2x500 m run. In the 2015/16 season he won the 500 m World Cup in Inzell and the team sprint in Heerenveen. He was also third in Stavanger and Heerenveen over 500 m and second in the team sprint in Heerenveen. At the individual distance world championships in Kolomna in 2016 , he finished 18th in the 2x500 m run. At the end of the season he reached third place in the overall world cup over 500 m. In the 2017/18 season he won the team sprint in Stavanger and Calgary . At the highlight of the season, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , he came in 17th place over 500 m.
