For the first time at an international championship, Gina Akpe-Moses competed at the U20 European Championships 2015 in Eskilstuna . There she was eliminated over 100 meters in the lead and reached fourth place with the Irish 4 x 100 meter relay. She also won the silver medal over 200 meters in 24.49 seconds at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi . In 2016 she won the silver medal over 100 meters at the U18 European Championships, which were held for the first time in Tbilisi. At the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz took fifth place with the Irish relay. In 2017 she won the gold medal over 100 meters at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto and again took fourth place with the Irish relay.
In 2018 Akpe-Moses took part in the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where he finished eighth in the 100 meter final with 11.64 seconds. With the Irish relay, she set a new junior record with 43.90 s and thus won the silver medal behind Germany. She then took part in the European Championships in Berlin and was eliminated there with 11.63 s in the first round. In addition, she could not qualify for the final with the relay in 43.80 s. At the IAAF World Relays 2019 in Yokohama she was eliminated with 44.02 s in the run-up and then reached the semi-finals at the U23 European Championships in Gävle over 100 meters, in which she was eliminated with 11.90 s while she was in 44.32 s in fourth place.
