Gino Malvestio

Gino Malvestio PIME (born January 14, 1938 in Noale , Veneto , † September 7, 1997 ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Parintins in Brazil .

Life

Gino Malvestio joined the Congregation of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions in and received on 26 June 1965, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Parintins on March 9, 1994 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Alfio Rapisarda , donated him episcopal ordination on May 14 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Manaus , Luiz Soares Vieira , and his predecessor Giovanni Risatti PIME, Bishop of Macapá .
