Giovanni Risatti
Giovanni Risatti PIME (born December 1, 1942 in Trento ; † September 9, 2003 ) was an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Macapá in Brazil .
Life
Giovanni Risatti joined the religious order of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions and was ordained a priest on December 3, 1952 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Parintins on December 10, 1987 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Carlo Furno , donated him episcopal ordination on February 21 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Arcângelo Cerqua PIME, Bishop of Parintins, and Clóvis Frainer OFMCap , Archbishop of Manaus .
With Arcângelo Cerqua's resignation on July 15, 1989, he succeeded him as Bishop of Parintins. The Pope appointed him Bishop of Macapá on January 20, 1993 .
