Gion Darms (theologian)

Gion Darms OP (born August 22, 1930 in Chur ; † October 13, 2014 in Schwyz , entitled to live in Chur) was a Swiss religious and Catholic theologian .

Gion Darms joined the Dominican order . After studying theology and philosophy, Darms was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. He was ordained a priest on July 1, 1956. From 1957 to 1995 he was Professor of Philosophy at the College of Maria Hilf in Schwyz.

He published several theological works and essays, including on Albertus Magnus and in particular on the life and work of Thomas Aquinas . Numerous scientific papers were published in the series of the "Freiburg Journal for Philosophy and Theology".
