Giovanni Dettori

Giovanni Dettori (born January 26, 1940 in Nule , Province of Sassari , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Ales-Terralba .

Life

Giovanni Dettori was ordained a priest on July 1, 1965 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Ales-Terralba on February 5, 2004 . The Cardinal Prefect of the Apostolic Signature , Mario Francesco Pompedda , donated him episcopal ordination on April 18 of the same year in Rome ; Co- consecrators were Paolo Romeo , Apostolic Nuncio in Italy and San Marino , and Sebastiano Sanguinetti , Bishop of Ozieri . The official inauguration in his diocese followed on May 2, 2004.

On February 10, 2016, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
