Tanno has been taking part in FIS and AFP World Tour competitions since 2012 . She completed her first World Cup in December 2013 in Copper Mountain and took 18th place in slopestyle. At the beginning of the 2014/15 season she won the Slopestyle at the Stubai Jam and the European Cup. This was followed by two third places and one second place in the SFR Freestyle Tour. At the season highlight of the 2015 Freestyle Skiing World Championships on Kreischberg , she was seventh in slopestyle. At the end of the season she won in Big Air at the AFP World Tour Final in Whistler and in Slopestyle at the Swiss Championships in Corvatsch . After finishing third in slopestyle at the beginning of the following season at the SFR Freestyle Tour in Val Thorens , she took second places in slopestyle in Mammoth and Silvaplana , making her first podium finishes in the World Cup. In April 2016 she became Swiss Champion in Slopestyle and Big Air. The season she finished 20th in the overall World Cup and fifth in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she came second in the Big Air competition at the World Cup in El Colorado, Chile . In the further course of the season she achieved third place in Slopestyle and second place in Big Air in Quebec and reached fourth place in the Big Air World Cup at the end of the season. At the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen , she won the bronze medal in Big Air. She also came fourth in Slopestyle. In March 2017 she came fourth in the Slopestyle and Big Air at the X-Games Norway 2017 in Hafjell and eighth in the Slopestyle at the Freestyle Skiing World Championships in Sierra Nevada . After finishing second in the Slopestyle in Cardrona at the beginning of the 2017/18 season, she finished third in Milan and first in Big Air in Mönchengladbach and thus achieved seventh place in the Slopestyle World Cup and second place in the Big Air World Cup. At the X-Games Norway 2018 in Fornebu , she won the silver medal in Big Air.
