In the years 1706/1707 he played a key role in the Baroque transformation of the parish church in Gunzenhausen , where he redesigned the font, pulpit and organ case. From 1711 he worked mainly in Munich. From 1715 until the end of his life, Volpini held the office of court sculptor in Munich, where he made a marble bust of Maximilian Philipp Girolamo . In 1728, Elector Karl Albrecht appointed him court antiquarian inspector with the task of restoring the sculptures in the residence's antiquarium and of maintaining the statues and stucco work in the spa and palace complex.

Many of his works can be found in the Nymphenburg Palace Park , such as the Hercules sculpture , the stucco figure of Maria Magdalena in the Magdalenenklause , an artificial ruin with a chapel, and the statue and putti of the waterfalls.

In the meantime, Volpini worked on the design of the vestibule (stucco work) and Sala terrena (stucco and terracotta reliefs) at the Schleissheim residence . The small marble sculpture The Bavarian Prince Max Emanuel II. In the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest, comes from Giuseppe Volpini's last year of life . In the northern Italian city of Crema , a football stadium was named after Giuseppe Volpini.
