Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn is a constituency for the Scottish Parliament . It was introduced in 2011 as one of nine constituencies in the Glasgow electoral region , which was redesigned as part of the 2011 constituency revision. Here, the constituency of Glasgow Maryhill and Springburn was essentially composed of the areas of the former constituencies of Glasgow Maryhill and Glasgow Springburn , with only small parts of the former Springburn district being taken over into the new constituency. It includes northwestern Glasgow boroughs, including Gilshochill , Maryhill , Milton , Ruchill and Springburn . The constituency sends a representative.
The constituency covers an area of 27 km 2 . In the 2011 census survey, a total of 74,753 people lived within its borders.
