Glen Avon was a census-designated place in Riverside County in the US state of California , United States .

On July 1, 2011, Glen Avon was merged with Mira Loma , Pedley , Rubidoux and Sunnyslope to form the town of Jurupa Valley .

Formation of Jurupa Valley

On March 8, 2011, the citizens of the census-designated places Mira Loma , Pedley , Rubidoux , Glen Avon and Sunnyslope decided with 54.03% yes-votes to merge their hometowns to form the new City of Jurupa Valley . The decision took effect on July 1, 2011.
