Gloria Foster

Gloria Foster (born November 15, 1933 in Chicago , Illinois , † September 29, 2001 in New York City ) was an American actress . She became famous for the science fiction films The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded , in which she played the character of the oracle .

Life

Foster won after a long career in theater two Obie Awards for her performances in In White America and A Raisin in the Sun . She has also appeared in television series such as Tennis Rackets and Cannons and Law & Order .

In 1967 she married the actor Clarence Williams III . In 1984 they got divorced again.

She died in New York City from the consequences of their diabetes disease infection and was on the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn buried.
