Gloria Gresham

Gloria Gresham (* 1946 in Indianapolis , Indiana ) is an American costume designer .

Life

Gloria Gresham attended North Central High School and then studied theater at Indiana University . After graduating, she moved to New York City , where she initially worked in the theater. In 1978 the move to Los Angeles followed . There she started her film career as a costume coordinator for the musical film The Wiz - The Magic Land . In a career spanning more than 20 years, she has worked on more than 40 films.

At the 1991 Academy Awards , she was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Costume Design category for her work on the film Avalon . The award went to Franca Squarciapino for Cyrano from Bergerac . In 1994 she was nominated for a Saturn Award with Last Action Hero .

In 2006 she worked for Annapolis - Fight for Recognition for the last time in a film.
