The Gmina Brzozów [ ˈbʒɔzuf ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Brzozów of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . The seat of the municipality and the powiat is the city of the same name with around 7500 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located about 30 km south of Rzeszów . The river Stobnicą belongs to the waters. The municipality has an area of 103.18 km². 67% of the municipal area is used for agriculture, 24% is covered with forest.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the place belonged to the Krosno Voivodeship .
The pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Stara Wieś dates back to the 18th century.
structure
The town-and-country municipality Brzozów includes the namesake town and the villages with school offices (Sołectwo): Górki, Grabownica Starzeńska, Humniska, Humniska-Skrzyżowanie, Przysietnica, Stara Wieś, Turze Pole and Zmiennica. As well as the Gołaszówka and Wola Górecka settlements.
