The Gmina Solec Kujawski [ ˈsɔlɛts kuˈjafsci ] is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Bydgoski of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name ( German Schulitz ) with about 15,700 inhabitants.

The municipality borders the city of Bromberg ( Bydgoszcz ) in the west and the Vistula in the north .
