The Goldberg is located in the Nutscheid forest area near the border between the municipalities of Ruppichteroth, Waldbröl and Windeck . It belongs to the Bergisches Land nature park and the Waldbröl state forest . With a notch height of less than 5 m compared to the neighboring Hohen Wäldchen to the east , it is only a slightly pronounced elevation. Southeast of the Goldberg, the ridge of the Selbachsberg extends south.
Watershed
The Goldberg is part of the Nutscheid watershed . The Reuterssiefen towards Sieg and the Vilkenbach and Steinerbach towards Waldbrölbach arise from its flanks .
