Golf Cup 2003

The 16th Golf Cup , a soccer competition between the Arab countries bordering the Persian Gulf , took place from December 26, 2003 to January 11, 2004 in Kuwait City .

A total of seven teams took part. The Yemeni national soccer team made their debut at the tournament, while Iraq remained excluded from participation due to the invasion of Kuwait . The tournament was played in round robin mode , all seven participants played against each other in a group. The winner was Saudi Arabia , whose team won four of their six games and drew twice. It was Saudi Arabia's third title win at the tournament. Second place went to Bahrain, ahead of Qatar's third-placed team . All games took place at Al-Sadaqua Walsalam Stadium .
