Golf Cup 2013

The 21st Golf Cup , a soccer competition between the Arab countries bordering the Persian Gulf , took place from January 5th to 18th, 2013 in Bahrain . A total of eight teams took part.

The eight teams were divided into two groups of four teams each. The two group first and second qualified for the next round. Then it was played in the knockout system .

The eight teams were drawn into two groups. The group head of Group A was Bahrain (as the host) and the head of Group B was Kuwait (as the defending champion). The remaining six teams were divided according to their position in the FIFA world rankings .
