Goltzscha is a district of the municipality of Nünchritz in the district of Meißen in Saxony .

geography

Goltzscha is located southeast of the district of Nünchritz in the city triangle of Großenhain - Riesa - Meißen . Surrounding villages are Weißig in the north, Skassa in the northeast, Medessen in the east, Zottewitz and Döschütz in the south, Neuseußlitz in the southwest, Merschwitz in the west and Leckwitz and Naundörfchen in the northwest.

The Elbe flows about two kilometers west of the town, and the Leipzig – Dresden railway line runs about one kilometer to the northeast .

history

In 1406 the place was mentioned for the first time as Golczkewicz in a document, in 1465 it is recorded as lying desolate . The owners are from Münster auf Zottewitz. From 1473 to 1586 Goltzscha belonged to the von Taubenheim family . The Hayn office inheritance book , published in 1547, does not record Goltzscha. The place belonged to the Zottewitz manor in 1628, and Goltzscha is still recorded there in 1721. In 1712, in addition to the dam and lower mill south of the village, there was also a windmill in the map series.

One year after the end of the Seven Years' War (1756–1763) there are 22 gardeners and 10 cottagers. In 1795 Goltzscha had 32 tax numbers, 2 mills, 13 garden food, 5 houses, 1 house with garden and vineyard, 1 house with garden and field, 1 residential house. In 1824 Goltzscha is a village belonging to the Zottewitz manor according to ancient scripts . At the end of April 1945 the place was cleared and Goltzscha became a combat zone. The people in Merschwitz fled by pontoon bridge over the Elbe to Greifendorf .

Buildings and facilities

A kindergarten was set up in 1955 and closed in 1993. In 1957 a parish hall was built, in 1958 the first LPG in the town of "Bundschuh" was founded and a nurses' station and doctor's office was set up. In 1959, a grocery store was opened in the former Henkerm inn, and in 1982 it became a consumer store that existed until 1991. In 1960 another LPG was founded, in 1962 the BSG Traktor Goltzscha. In the years 1963 to 1970 a natural pool was built, in the planning and construction of which the Goltzschaer and the local industrial companies and cooperatives were involved.

In 1974 Goltzscha was accepted into the association for cooperative cooperation in the field of recreation, among others with Merschwitz , Nünchritz and Diesbar-Seusslitz .

With the fall of the Wall , a large part of the infrastructure built in GDR times was lost, on the other hand, a number of smaller trades settled.

In 1994 Goltzscha was united with the communities of Merschwitz, Diesbar-Seusslitz and their districts to form the new community of Diesbar-Seusslitz, which was incorporated into the community of Nünchritz in 2003.
