Neuseußlitz is mentioned for the first time in 1268 and was probably created when the margravial court was built in Seusslitz . In 1541 Neuseußlitz is run as a monastery village, later it belongs to the manor that emerged from the Seusslitz monastery . Ecclesiastically, the village is parish off to Strießen in 1539 , before it belongs to the Merschwitz Church in 1540 and a short time later in 1547 it is parish off to Seusslitz. 17 possessed men live in the village and the Neuseusslitzers have to send 2 foot servants and help along with others to the army vehicle to Seusslitz .

Neuseußlitz belongs to the Merschwitz manor in 1556 , but comes back to Seusslitz in 1661. The relationships with Merschwitz were also applicable to the church, the school and guardianship rights in the forest area, known as the Mersche. 15 men and their families lived in Neuseußlitz in 1661. There is also 1 burnt down hut, 3 gardens, 1 fire place, plus 12 vineyards. Viticulture must have been practiced at several places in Neuseußlitz at an early stage. In 1688 twelve owners had a total of 60 pile piles . In 1721 the vineyards had grown to 83 pile piles, which were cultivated by fifteen owners. 7 farmers, 3 Hüfner, 1 Halbhüfner and 5 gardeners live in the village, with family members around 80 residents.

In 1873 the cemetery at the Seusslitz church was closed. A new cemetery will be laid out on Neuseußlitzer Flur at the end of today's Bergstrasse. A small chapel enables funeral ceremonies there. In 1895 the manor owner von Seusslitz donated a piece of land in the Neuseußlitz corridor to the school community for the construction of a new school. This new building was necessary due to the steadily growing number of students and the former school building on Bergstrasse in Seusslitz could no longer tolerate another extension. The new schoolhouse was consecrated in 1896. In 1996 the school was closed after having been part of the Polytechnic Oberschule Merschwitz for decades . With the separation of elementary and middle school, it became elementary school. After the sale of the building in 2007 by the Nünchritz municipality and extensive renovation, it is rented for residential purposes. One of the distinctive buildings in Neuseußlitz could thus be preserved.

In 1898 there was a doctor in Neuseußlitz, and medical care in Neuseußlitz has not stopped to this day. Furthermore, the population consists primarily of the professional groups of bricklayers and carpenters, brickworkers, burners, stone breakers, seamstresses, shoemakers, 1 master wheelwright, 1 master saddler, 1 master baker, 1 forest forester, 1 innkeeper and traders. The Elbe as an acquisition also had a certain significance, there were three ship helmsmen and two skippers. There are 2 clubs, a military club and a choral club. According to the records, this is where masons and carpenters in particular meet. The range of skilled trades increased until the 1930s. Carpenters, locksmiths, electricians, plumbers, stove fitters can be found alongside farmers and a comparatively large number of quarry workers and factory workers.

Since 1898 there have been references to the changing owners of the inn in Neuseußlitz No. 24 in the address books of the administrative authority in Grossenhain . The Klemm family moved to Neuseußlitz in 1929 and for decades ran the inn in addition to farming. The people of Neuseusslitzer still remember the rifle balls and the celebrations on many other occasions in the hall of the inn in good company while watching the 8 mm films from the 50s to 70s. The inn itself is now used as a residential building.

Saxons came after the Second World War in the Soviet zone of occupation and later the GDR. The historically grown affiliation to Grossenhain was not preserved after the territorial reform in 1952 . She assigned Neuseusslitz to the Riesa district in the Dresden district .

In 1948 the volunteer fire brigade was founded. In 1968, due to a lack of men who were ready to work during the day, a women's fire fighting group was founded, whose task was not fire prevention shows, but fire fighting operations. For this purpose, the women took proficiency level 2. Most of the men worked in agriculture and could not leave their jobs quickly enough in the event of a fire alarm.

In 1952 there is a kindergarten, which is initially operated as a harvest kindergarten . An average of 20 to 25 children were cared for by a teacher and an assistant. In 1991 the kindergarten became part of the Diesbar-Seusslitz kindergarten.

In 1960, through a merger of the farmers, the LPG Type I "Morgenrot" is founded. A pigsty was built in what was then estate no. In 1962 the LPG merged with LPG Progress Merschwitz. This merger made it possible to connect the entire northern corridor area to the irrigation system. The rural outpatient clinic was inaugurated in 1960 and was permanently staffed by doctors from 1964. The allotment gardeners were the bearers of social life in Neuseußlitz until the end of the 1960s. The newly founded village club then took over the tasks. After 1989/90 the local fire department got involved in celebrations, festivals and other local matters.

In 1972 the youth club, which was built in-house, was inaugurated. Before that, the young people met in the youth room of the kindergarten. In 1973, young people from Seusslitz and Neuseusslitz founded the GST lake sports group . She trained on the Elbe and had her base in Seusslitz opposite the municipal office. In the same year Neuseußlitz is incorporated into Diesbar-Seusslitz.

In 1975 the Konsum was inaugurated on the village green. The memorial for the fallen of the First World War , which was originally located there, is being implemented. After the German reunification , Neuseußlitz became part of the re-established Free State of Saxony. The following regional reforms in Saxony assigned Neuseußlitz to the district of Riesa-Großenhain in 1994 and to the district of Meißen in 2008 . In 1995 the sewage treatment plant built by the community of Diesbar-Seusslitz went into operation. When the Elbe floods in 2002 , the chosen location below the state road turned out to be not flood-proof. The system is completely enclosed by the water and requires extensive repairs. In 2005, the municipality of Nünchritz hands over the system to the Elbe-Floßkanal waste water association.

The allotment garden, which is on the same level as the sewage treatment plant and in the immediate vicinity, was hit hard by the 2002 flood . Some allotment gardeners give up their hobby at this point.

In 2003 Neuseußlitz was incorporated into Nünchritz together with the rural community of Diesbar-Seusslitz. Neuseußlitz is an appealing residential community, the feature of which is the spectacular view of the surrounding area from almost all locations, especially Hirschstein Castle .

Place name

The place name can be associated with the Upper Sorbian word for ground beetle or with the Slavic word for insect. Neuseußlitz means (new) settlement on the Käferwald, Käferbusch or something similar. The place name was repeatedly subjected to changes so Neuseußlitz was in 1268 in Nuensuseliz called, 1274 Nuemsuseliz and 1285 Nova Suseliz or Suselicz novum, Naw-Suselicz in 1378. Another name variant comes from the year 1543, for the Neuseuselitz has survived as a place name. The current place name appears for the first time in documents in 1791.
