Goran Bogunović

Goran Bogunović (born June 28, 1989 in Split , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian handball player .

Athletic career

The 1.97 m tall and 102 kg heavy left backcourt player already played for the French club Chambéry Savoie HB in the EHF Champions League at the age of 17 . In the meantime he was loaned to Dijon Bourgogne HB . In 2008 he returned to Croatia to the RK Siscia . In 2010 he joined the Croatian series champion RK Zagreb , with whom he became champion and cup winner. After only one season, he moved to the Slovenian club RK Koper , which he left for Qatar in April 2012. In summer 2012 he signed again with Dijon Bourgogne HB. In September 2013 he switched to the Swiss club GC Amicitia Zurich . Due to the injury-related failures of the backcourt players Draško Nenadić , Lars Kaufmann and Ólafur Gústafsson , SG Flensburg-Handewitt signed him in February 2014 until the end of the season. With the Fördestädtern he won the EHF Champions League 2013/14 and reached the final in the DHB Cup 2013/14 . For the 2014/15 season he signed with the Romanian club HCM Constanța .

With the Croatian U-19 national team Goran Bogunović won the silver medal at the U-19 World Cup in 2007 . In the Croatian national team , he made his debut on June 11, 2010 against Poland . So far, he has played two international matches in which he scored three goals. (As of February 9, 2014)
