Gotthard Bauer
Gotthard Bauer (born December 21, 1887 in Schaufling ; † February 29, 1976 in Munich ) was a German painter and restorer . He worked mainly as a panel painter and fresco painter and as a restorer in Bavarian churches, as well as a watercolor painter.
Life
Gotthard Bauer completed an apprenticeship as a painter and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . After a stay in the United States, he became the owner of a church painting company in Solln near Munich in 1930, and in 1936 he also moved his residence there. Gotthard Bauer was married and had two children.
