Gottlieb Frank

Gottlieb Frank (born October 28, 1904 in Unterhöfen , Harsberg municipality , Oberamt Öhringen ; † February 23, 1998 in Unterhöfen, Pfedelbach municipality , Hohenlohekreis ) was a German farmer , winegrower and politician ( CDU ).

Career

Frank was born in the small hamlet of Unterhöfen. After attending primary school , he graduated from agricultural school in two years and then trained in fruit growing and viticulture. In 1934 he took over his parents' farm with intensive fruit and wine growing.

Frank was a member of the local council, district council and district assembly and there for a time first deputy of the district administrator. In the district council he was parliamentary group leader of the CDU, whose district chairman in the district of Öhringen he was from 1952 to 1972. On September 11, 1961, he replaced Martin Storz as a member of the Öhringen constituency in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . In the state elections in 1964 and 1968, he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Öhringen. He was a member of the state parliament until 1972.

Gottlieb Frank was a Protestant denomination, married and had four children. Since the agricultural school in Öhringen was founded in 1924, he has been chairman of the association for former agricultural students for decades, as well as chairman of the local men's choir and member of the agricultural court and the upper land and settlement authorities.
