The Adschlun Governorate ( Arabic محافظة عجلون, DMG Muḥāfaẓat ʿAǧlūn ) is one of the twelve governorates of Jordan . The seat of the government administration is the city of Adschlun .
The governorate covers an area of 420 km² and has a population of 150,200 inhabitants (2013). The population density is 358 people / km². It borders the Jarash , Irbid and al-Balqa governorates .
The Adschlun Governorate is divided into two districts:
- Qasaba Adschlun: This includes 50 cities and villages (the center is Adschlun ).
- Kufrandscha: This includes 19 towns and villages (the center is Kufrandscha ).
Other important settlements are Ibbin, Sachra, Muraddscham, Rasun, Ain Janna, Andschara and Hashmiyya.
