Grünenbäumchen is a district in the Herkenrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .

history

An old half-timbered house from the first half of the 19th century gave the village its name. The Bergisch Gladbach City Archives have a photo from 1925 under Photo D 1048-2 , which shows the half-timbered house with thatched roofing . Today it is a settlement with many new buildings; there is nothing left of the old buildings.

According to the overview of the government district of Cöln , the place categorized as a building property owned a house in 1845. At that time, twelve people lived in the village, all of them Catholic.
