Voislöhe is a district in the Herkenrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
The medieval Hofstelle Voislöhe was created in the great rode epoch between 1000 and 1300. In the original cadastre , the village is listed in the early 19th century as "Am Voslöh" near the old country road from Bensberg to Dürscheid . The settlement name Voislöhe is derived from the Middle High German words "vuhs / vouhs" (= fox) and "lôch" (= bushes, woods, woods). This gives it its meaning as a fox forest .
According to the overview of the government district of Cöln , the place categorized as a farm had two houses in 1845. At that time there were 15 people living in the village, all of them Catholic.
