Horst is a district in the Herkenrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
The Horst farm probably originated in the Carolingian Rodeepoch between 1000 and 1300. She was part of the court association and court court of the Herkenrath Fronhof . Since 1690 Horst was a parish of the Herkenrath Church. In the original cadastre it was recorded under the name Auf der Horst . In 1905 the yard consisted of a building with five residents. The settlement name goes back to the Old and Middle High German "hurst / hürste" (= bushes, hedge, thicket).
According to the overview of the government district of Cöln , the place categorized as a building property owned a house in 1845. At that time there were five people living in the village, all of them Catholic.
