The Volbacher Mühle is a district in the Herkenrath district of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
In the upper Volbach valley is the Volbacher Mühle , which is also listed with this name in the original cadastre .
A mill was built here in 1819. Until a few years ago, a bakery for bread and pastries was also operated there. Two source streams of the Volbach come together here. Nevertheless, the water was not enough to keep the mill running for a long time. Therefore an umbach about 400 meters long had been created, which fed a mill pond so that the water wheel could be driven longer. Today the buildings are only used for residential purposes.
