history

People lived in the area of the village as early as the Mesolithic , but archaeological finds also indicate settlements from the end of the Paleolithic . In the Neolithic Age , farmers of the linear ceramic culture settled in the area of the village. To the east and south of the village, graves from the middle and late Neolithic ages have been found. Urn graves from the Bronze Age have also been found. The settlement in the Iron Age and during the Roman Empire is only thin. Probably around 1000 during the Slavic settlement the area was inhabited again. The present village was probably founded at the beginning of the 13th century. In the first documentary mention in 1354 the village was mentioned as Grunow. At that time the land was ceded to Pomerania. In 1472 it came back to the state of Brandenburg.

It is not known whether the village became partially or completely desolate during the Thirty Years War . But in the middle of the 18th century there were still fewer than 100 inhabitants in the village. In 1690 Bernd von Arnim acquired the property, who leased it and sold it in 1735 to the von Rohr-Ganzer family. The number of inhabitants rose sharply in the course of the 19th century. In 1885 there were 337 inhabitants. In 1946 the land was expropriated during a land reform. In 1954 a type III LPG was founded, a type I LPG was added a little later. These LPGs were combined in 1977/1978 to form LPG plant production Schönermark.

Until 1817 the village belonged to the Stolpirischer Kreis . The Angermünde district was founded in 1817, and the village became part of this district. Since 1992 the place belongs to the office Oder-Welse . The community of Mark Landin was founded in 2001 together with Hohenlandin , Netherlands and Schönermark .

The village

The village is on Landesstraße 28 from Schönermark to Passow . The country road makes a right-angled bend in the village. To the north of this bend is the estate area. To the west of the manor district is the village church with the churchyard.

Manor house and manor park

The Herrenhaus Grünow was or was built in 1736. It is listed with the manor park. After 1881 the manor house was rebuilt, the exact changes can no longer be determined. From 1945 the manor house was used as refugee accommodation, later it was used by the community. The house is a single storey house with a basement and a mansard roof. The facade has nine axes, the three middle and the outer have risalits. In the middle is the entrance, in front of it there is a two-flight flight of stairs. There is a balcony above the entrance. Only parts of the estate have been preserved.

Like the manor house, the manor park is under monument protection. The park is north and east of the mansion. The size of the park is about 4 hectares. The current park was laid out after 1881 by the then landowner Kühn. What the park looked like before this date is not occupied.

The village church

The village church is a listed building. It is a choir tower church with an apse, choir tower and nave. A sacristy was added to the north side of the choir tower . When the church was built is unclear, a construction time around 1200 is likely.
