geography
course
The Grabenmühlbach rises in the southern Hesselbacher Waldland at an altitude of 316 m above sea level. NN just under one kilometer northeast of the suburb of Wagenhausen belonging to the municipality of Theres at the wooded southeastern foot of the Weichselberg ( 336 m above sea level ).
It first flows in a west-southwest direction about seven hundred meters through deciduous forest on the southern slope of the Weichselberg and then reaches the open corridor. It now changes direction to the south and passes the village of Wagenhausen, partly underground. It then runs through fields and meadows and after about 600 m on its left-hand Seine it is fed by its only noteworthy tributary, the Upper Graben coming from the northeast .
The Grabenmühlbach now turns to the southwest and then, accompanied by wood, runs almost a kilometer through an agricultural zone, then changes its course to the south, crosses under the B 26 and the tracks of the Bamberg-Rottendorf railway line and finally flows a good half a kilometer west of Untertheres at an altitude of 216 m above sea level. NN at Main kilometer 347 from the right and finally coming from the north into the Main.
