Grametten is a village and a cadastral municipality in the Reingers municipality in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

history

The scattered settlement of Grametten was repopulated in the first half of the 18th century. The place is mentioned in the death registers from the 1730s. From 1731 the newly founded huts of Grametten are mentioned in the land register. The place belonged to the lordship of Litschau.

Settlement development

In 1751 Grametten had 10 subordinate houses.

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 36 building areas with 17,376 m² and 10 gardens on 4,330 m² in the cadastral community of Grametten, in 1989/1990 there were also 36 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 124 and in 2009/2010 there were 74 buildings on 112 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 106 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 25 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 92 hectares and 36 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 82 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 39 hectares. The average soil climate number of Grametten is 19.1 (as of 2010).
