With 40 inhabitants, Gramzow is the smallest district of the town of Perleberg in the Prignitz district .

geography

Gramzow is located in the extreme northeast of the city of Perleberg. Neighboring to the south is the Perleberg district of Groß Linde , and to the south-west is the district of Groß Buchholz . In the northwest, north and east, Gramzow borders on the community of Groß Pankow (Prignitz) .

The western border of Gramzow follows the Schlatbach , which flows here from north to south. The Alt Gramzow residential area, which belongs to Gramzow, is located near the Schlatbach, and the Gramzower Mühle is located directly on the Schlatbach .

From around 40 m above sea level in the west, the terrain rises slightly to the east. The main town on Brandenburger Landesstrasse L 102 is about 60 m above sea level.

history

The first known documentary mention of Gramzow comes from the year 1345 ( grampsowe ).

In the 20th century there was a stop on the Westprignitzer Kreisringbahn in Gramzow . The line was shut down in 1975 and then dismantled.

The place belonged to the community Groß Linde, which was incorporated into the city of Perleberg on January 1, 1974.
