Grazia Di Fresco (born May 7, 1979 in Stuttgart ) is a German singer of Italian descent. She became known in the summer of 2006 with her debut single JaJa , released under the stage name Sha , which reached number 30 in the German single charts.

biography

Grazia Di Fresco grew up in Schwieberdingen near Stuttgart. After graduating from the Hans-Grüninger-Gymnasium in Markgröningen in 2000 , she moved to Munich in 2003 and published the song Rome or Paris as artist Grazia on the independent label ZYX a year later . From 2001 she was under contract for five years with the music producer Goar B in the Munich production company Unicade Music .

Grazia Di Fresco later worked as artist Sha together with her producers Benjamin Olszewski, David Sobol and Ole Wierk (who also produced for the dance act Groove Coverage ) on her album. In 2006 she was signed to the record label EMI Music.

Their debut single JaJa was released in early August 2006. The recording contains the modified bassline of the song Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie , which was also used in the title Ice Ice Baby by the US rapper Vanilla Ice .

Her third single, Respect the Girls , was released on August 24, 2007, and her album, Kein Scheiß! released. Sha and her single Respect the Girls were closely associated with Bravo Girl's Respect the Girls campaign .

In 2008 Sha and EMI Music ended their collaboration.

comeback

From 2013 to 2015 Di Fresco was the singer and DJ of the Bavarian hit band Die Chilis . Since 2016 she has been back as a solo artist in Italo-Pop and as part of the Musica Ribelle formation . She was featured in the duet Domenica on the Bernhard Brink compilation Infinite , which was published in 2016 . For the album Meine Helden by Pivo Deinert , which was released in 2018, she sang the song 100,000 pictures . Pivo Deinert had already written the B-side Canto per te with her in 2004 for her first single Rome or Paris .
