Greater Giyani ( English Greater Giyani Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Mopani District , Limpopo Province in South Africa. The administrative headquarters are in Giyani . Basani Agnes Shivambo is the mayor.

The community name Giyani is a Xitsonga term that symbolizes happiness in the form of dance and celebration.
