Ba-Phalaborwa ( English Ba-Phalaborwa Local Municipality ) is a local municipality in the Mopani district , Limpopo province in South Africa . The administrative headquarters are in Phalaborwa . Meriam Malatji is the mayor.
The community name comes from the word " pala bora " ("better than the south") in the Sotho language , who moved here from the south. " Ba " means: "People from ...". The statement refers to people who had fled from the Swazi and Zulu environment and were looking for a peaceful existence.
