Gregory Tremaine "Greg" Davis (born June 25, 1982 in Hope , Arkansas ) is a retired American basketball player . At a height of 1.86 meters, he was used in both guard positions .

career

After graduating from high school in Bradley , Davis attended Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City from 1999 to 2001 and from 2002 to Troy University in Troy , from which he graduated in 2004.

As a finalist of the Sun Belt Conference , he was named best player in 2004. He played in Portsmouth at the Invitational Tournament, but couldn't find a club and instead tried his hand at the Treviso Summer League in Italy.

Davis remained undrafted in the 2004 NBA draft and instead signed a contract with the Fayetteville Patriots in the NBA D-League . He then worked for Alerta Cantabria Lobos in Spain , but returned to the USA in September 2004 after only three games. In November 2004 he moved back to the D-League for the Patriots and played 42 games there.

In 2005 Davis moved to the Polish club Astoria Bydgoszcz and made his debut in the Polska Liga Koszykówki on October 15, 2005 in a game against Polonia Warsaw .

After the insolvency of the club and relegation to the third division, the point guard moved to Germany and played from July 2006 to June 2007 with the Basketball Löwen Braunschweig .
